Isle of Skye Holiday Cottage, Self Catering Accommodation
Explore the area, there are many breathtaking local walks both for the beginner and seasoned walkers alike.
We have mountain bikes for hire from as little as £5 per day and Geary is a perfect spot to set off from for a relaxing cycle, the single track road has very light traffic and provides a safe environment for enjoying yourself, as do miles of forestry track close by.
Behind Number 19 is Ben Geary which is well worth the hike to enjoy the view from the top, go in the opposite direction and you can find yourself down at Aros Bay and its unspoilt sandy beach,a lovely picnic stop.
Walk along the forestry road from Gillen and within 30 minutes you will find yourself above the village of Stein , a nice way to spend an afternoon browsing the various craft shops here including skyeskyns, the only 5 star visitor attraction on the Island, maybe take a boat trip with Divers Eye Boat Trips from the slipway and definitely treat yourself to a refreshing drink or a bite to eat at the Stein Inn, the oldest Inn on Skye, before wandering back.
Visit Waternish has a fantastic web site where you find all the above and much more.
