Walk along the forestry road from Gillen and within 30 minutes you will find yourself above the village of Stein , a nice way to spend an afternoon browsing the various craft shops here including skyeskyns, the only 5 star visitor attraction on the Island, maybe take a boat trip with Divers Eye Boat Trips from the slipway and definitely treat yourself to a refreshing drink or a bite to eat at the Stein Inn, the oldest Inn on Skye, before wandering back.
Visit Waternish has a fantastic web site where you find all the above and much more. Places to eat
