Number 19 is located in the gorgeous setting of Geary in Waternish with panoramic views across the Minch to Harris and North Uist. Directly in front of us are the Ascrib Islands, designated a European Special Area of Conservation for its common seal colonies.
Enjoy spectacular views from the living area downstairs or pop out onto the patio with the binoculars and you will observe the fantastic array of wildlife passing by.
We are very fortunate to be in an area where most days we get to view the majestic Sea and Golden Eagles as they hover and hunt at the bottom of the croft and with Loch Snizort being a very popular fishing area you can easily spend hours just watching trawlers glide by below the croft and creel boats hauling in their catch.
Waternish is steeped in Celtic myth and legend and is the home of one of the bloodiest clan battles in history at Trumpan Churchyard between the MacLeods of Dunvegan and the MacDonalds of Uist. Thankfully more recently is renowned for its breathtaking walks, wildlife sightings and home of many must visit places during your holiday on this spectacular Island.
